Williment get 4000 pilgrims set with orange wallets

The staff members of Williment Event Management are surrounded by orange travel wallets as they prepare the travel documentation for 4000 New Zealand pilgrims heading to World Youth Day in Sydney this July.

Williment Event Management, part of the Williment Travel Group (WTG), are well known for their arrangement of large numbers of Kiwis heading to major sporting and incentive events around the world.  WTG Director Ross Jamieson is delighted that WTG have had the opportunity to partner the Catholic Church in New Zealand in such a unique and ground breaking way.  Managing the travel for the New Zealand pilgrims to Sydney has been a significant project for the Company for the last 18 months.  Aside from sporting events, this pilgrimage constitutes the largest departure of New Zealanders for one single event for some time.

Three WTG staff will be joining the pilgrims to Sydney, working from the New Zealand Headquarters right in the heart of Sydney.  “We’re very much looking forward to being part of the action in Sydney.  Having worked so hard to get the pilgrims set for their travel to WYD, we want to make sure their experience is a smooth and enjoyable one throughout the week and until they return to New Zealand,” says Vivien Lynch (pictured, left), the WYD coordinator for Williment Event Management.
